Obesity is the fastest growing modern age pandemic. Morbid obesity is a disease, which directly influences the development of comorbid diseases; it causes the appearance of complications in different visceral systems, and, with already developed comorbid diseases, makes them more complex and prolongs their treatment. We have tried to show that these surgeries are similar in technical details of performance to gastric and intestinal surgeries, but different in relation to morbid obesity due to their indications.
