BANK RATING

Ratings are a globally accepted tool for a comprehensive assessment of banks' performance. Being a method of comparative assessment of banks' performance, ratings allow to estimate their market position and reliability. The monograph discloses theoretical and methodological bases for rating assessment of bank activities, and analyzes practice of using main methods of rating by the example of Belarusian banks. It discusses basic problems and requirements which should be taken into account when developing rating techniques. The methods of rating are suggested which are based on the calculation of integral index which takes into account the position in the banking system, changes in the market position and effectiveness of bank activities.The book is addressed to students, undergraduates, postgraduates and employees of the banking sector.
