The term social safety net is used in a broader context to mean any program that benefits individuals or families. This broad definition includes Social Security, Medicare, and Unemployment. Governments all over the world made "social safety net" (SSN) to survive in these pandemic situations like Covid-19. Bretton Woods organizations started to use the word "social safety net" (SSN) in conjunction with institutional change measures related to their lending programs. The social safety net comprises both contributory and non¿contributory programs in this context. The United States social safety net aims to improve the lives of the lowest-income families and individuals. As the term ¿social safety net¿ implies, the goal is to provide a support system that ¿catches¿ families as they fall into poverty but still encourages work.
