Awareness and adoption of mango growers about GAP in mango cultivation

The present study was conducted in the South Gujarat region. South Gujarat has seven districts viz. Bharuch, Narmada, Navsari, Surat, Tapi, the dang, and Valsad. Out of seven districts of South Gujarat, Navsari district was selected purposively In the present study because Navsari district is the leading dealer in the District cultivation among all the districts of South Gujarat. Results of the investigation shows that the majority of the respondents belonged to Middle age groups with a secondary level of education, had a mean size of family, half social participation, the size of landholding belonged to Rs. 50,001 to 1, 00,000 annual income, half mango yield index advanced experience in mango cultivation. They had advanced scientific orientation, achievement motivation, risk orientation extension participation, and mass media exposure.
