Automation of a Sewage Treatment System

A fictitious company operates with several employees to carry out the general monitoring and supervision on a daily basis. The process is to be automated in a way that the coordination will be computer based and it must continuously monitor the state of input devices and control the state of output devices. To do so, a PLC SFB41 CONT C will communicate with various instruments ¿ actuators and sensors ¿, comparing actual conditions with the expected ones, updating the outputs accordingly. The processor will make decisions based on a custom program written in Ladder Logic programming language. The collected data will be shown on a management screen, providing detailed system status and allowing the operator to make process changes with one click.
