Automated nuclei/cell detection in whole slides images

This handbook is a report of my master degree internship/thesis. Six months internship project / thesis is a part of my 2-year master program for fulfillment of Master of Science, technologies and health with a specialization in Optics, Image, Vision, and Multimedia at Université Paris-Est Crétiel, (UPEC) France. I worked on an assignment project ¿Automated Nuclei Detection in Whole Slides Images using sets Segmentation methods. The main content of the project is to implement three different sets of segmentation algorithm for nuclei detection in stained pancreas tissue samples which is critically helpful in determining the right diagnosis or prognosis. This topic suits my major in Medical Image Processing, and also brought me to a very new and interesting area of using Computer Assisted Diagnosis (CAD). Through the assignment, not only did I gain a lot of knowledge but more importantly, I also had a great chance to sharpen my skills in a professional working environment.
