It is a well-known reality, nowadays, that the new economic and technological context, resulting from the active implications of globalization, has given rise to the rapid development of information and communication technologies that have immensely influenced education and training across Europe. Within this framework, there is an ever growing need for educators globally to effectively prepare their students for the involved technological and social challenges; something that, in reality, will constitute the starting point towards achieving future employment and social welfare.
