Austempering processes that are performed via cold liquids

As a rule, austempering and martempering processes are performed in melted salts and alkalis that is not environment friendly technology which has several restrictions due to slow cooling. Austempering and martempering processes are performed intensively in environment friendly water solutions or just in plain water under pressure. Due to intensive cooling, all restrictions are released and several opportunities are added such as combining austempering with the HTMT and LTMT processes. The new technologies are based on self ¿ regulated thermal process (SRTP) meaning maintenance surface temperature of steel parts at the level of boiling point of a cold liquid. Based on SRTP, the recipes calculations are considerably simplified, accurate and understandable.
