Platelet parameter are simple, less expensive laboratory measurement, it might be considered as a sensitive and useful screening test along with other conventional cardiac biomarkers for the diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome(ACS). Diagnosis of ACS is confirmed by ECG, cardiac biomarkers along with clinical symptoms. Most of these events are clinically unrecognizable and biochemically undetectable until the onset of necrosis. Changes of platelet parameter found just before development of thrombosis. It could play an important role in early identification of ACS and early initiation of anti platelet therapy; thereby prevention and development of full blown ACS.
