Assessment Tools used in Pediatric Dentistry

Dental indices are used as a quantitative methodology for measuring, grading and analyzing dental diseases and conditions in individuals and groups. An index describes the status of individuals or groups with respect to the condition being measured. Oral health surveys largely depend on dental indices, as do researchers and clinicians, to help in understanding local and global trends of the disease in question and the treatment needs of the patient. This book comprise the most commonly used dental indices globally for research and clinical evaluation for various oral disease & conditions.
