Application of the main functions of journalism in the Uzbek press

Information is expanding and accelerating due to the great social and political changes that have taken place in the world. This puts huge tasks in front of mass media. Newspapers, magazines, radio, television, news agencies, the international computer network - the Internet delivers various news, information, analytical materials to the public every day, every hour and every minute. serves to draw the most correct conclusions.Mass media operating in independent Uzbekistan, which have taken their rightful place in the world community, are also actively participating in the implementation of the above-mentioned comprehensive tasks. Nowadays, Uzbek mass media serve to introduce their readers to world news, raise awareness of global problems, implement huge socio-political, economic, cultural and educational reforms in our republic, and convey the ideas of independence to the masses.From this point of view, this study discusses the main functions of journalism and the principles of their application in the current Uzbek press.
