Application of Regulatory Standard 6 in Small Construction Sites

Construction is one of the most important industries for the economy, playing a role in the development of homes, commercial establishments and small buildings. However, it faces recurring challenges, especially with regard to working conditions and the safety of the professionals involved. In this context, Regulatory Standard 6 (NR-6) stands out as an essential instrument for guaranteeing the health and safety of workers, establishing clear guidelines on the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In view of this, the proposed study aimed to analyze, through a field study, the application of NR-6 on construction sites in the CRAJUBAR region, with an emphasis on the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), considering both the practices adopted by employees and the responsibilities of employers in complying with safety standards. This study presents relevant results on compliance with NR-6 on small construction sites, highlighting the main challenges faced and proposing solutions to overcome the obstacles identified.
