Anti-ulcer study Of conch Shell Ash On Gastric Ulcers In Rats

The book "ANTI-ULCEROGENIC EFFECT OF SHANKHA BHASMA (CONCH SHELL ASH) ON EXPERIMENTALLY INDUCED GASTRIC ULCERS IN RATS."gives details of the basic information of peptic ulcer their types and pathophysiology along with bhasma and their preparation. The information perspective in this book focus on antiulcer property of conch shell ash on experimentally induced ulcer by various models like ethanol, aspirin,acetic acid induced ulcer in rats. The parameters viz,ulcer score and ulcer index were taken to assess the anti-ulcerogenic effect of bhasma. Histopathological studies were also carried out to determine the nature as well as the degree of damage.
