Analysis of School Conflicts and Resolution Strategies

The book has an in depth analysis of the different types of conflicts :Substantive, Conflicts of Interest, Procedural conflicts, Affective, Value, Retributive and Goal conflicts.Using Conflict Analysis Scale (CAS) constructed and standardized by the author, the conflicts in secondary schools of Nairobi County have been classified into five levels:Very Low, Low, Medium, High and Very High conflict levels. A conical Model for conflict resolution at the different levels of conflicts has been developed. This book would be very helpful to stakeholders in secondary schools in training on how to identify early indicators of conflicts and taking the appropriate measures before they evolve into complex and violent conflicts.The stakeholders will also be able to make a distinction between functional and dysfunctional conflicts and respond appropriately.
