Analysis of Ground Geometry, Excavation with Bucket Wheel Excavator

Surface excavations are essential for surface mining operations to proceed in the extraction of mineral deposits. The bucket wheel excavator (BWE), which is utilized for digging rock, is one of the predominant mining equipment in a surface mine as a continuous mining system: Bucket Wheel Excavator ¿Belt Conveyor ¿ Starker (EKS). BWE is a heavy-duty continuous excavator, which is capable of producing a large output. The purpose of this work is to provide comparative analysis of the geometric parameters of slice, to determine the optimal parameters of dimensions slice and its influence on capacity of bucket wheel excavators. This will show the technological work schemes of the excavators bucket wheel, which will obtain the optimal parameters for the operation of the excavator bucket wheel in different working conditions viewed from geometric characteristic of cutting material.
