Analysis of Child's Right Act

The book, Analysis of Rights of Children in Nigeria, discusses the rights guaranteed under the Convention on the Rights of the Child and some cultural and other practices that inhibit the enjoyment of the right. It examines some challenges militating against the implementation of the Child's Right Act 2003, and made recommendations. This book is divided into five uneven parts. Firstly, chapter one dwells on the definition of terms like ¿a child¿ and ¿culture¿. Secondly, rights guaranteed under the Child¿s Right Act was examined. Thirdly, cultural and other practices that inhibit the enjoyment of the Right of Children was equally interrogated. Fourthly, some challenges like illiteracy and poverty were highlighted before recommendations were proffered and conclusions made.
