An Ontological Basis for Plato's theory of Justice

Plato, a seminal thinker, a profound cerebral system builder and a product of the Golden Age of Greek philosophical tradition, set in motion a template for social and political stability through the theory of justice. This theory grounded on metaphysics spells out how innate human excellence could be deployed for national development. The mission of Platös theory of justice is to promote division of labour which stipulates one man, one job based on division of labour and by extension, promote efficiency and productivity. However, this theory has attracted wide criticisms on the ground that it portrays an authoritarian, impositional and inflexible monistic metaphysical order which appears to affect western civilization and those they influenced. It is against this background that an ontological basis becomes imperative for robust sustenance of social and political stability. The essence of this book therefore, is to move from traditional ontology to phenomenological ontology in order to present human multifaceted talents to promote development.
