Poor people are not the authors of their poverty, and the Micro-finance vision is an appeal to change how we think about the poor. This work is a an international comparative study addressing the effects of micro-finance institutions on the poor in both Morocco and Egypt. While this study shows that micro-finance is not for everyone, it remains one of the rarest approaches to economic development and empowerment of the poor.
