An Approach for the Synthesis of Nitrogen Containing Organic Compounds

Organonitrogen compounds have wide applications in our daily life. They form part dyes, drugs, fertilizers, alkaloids, proteins etc. Nitrogen containing heterocycles occur in a diverse natural products and drugs and are of great importance in a wide variety of applications. Aromatic nitrogen heterocycles such as pyrrole, pyridine, pyrazole, imidazole, quinolines, and isoquinolines etc are found as important core structure in variety of drugs. In view of the general observation, the biological activities are invariably associated with a large variety of nitrogen heterocyclic systems such as benzimidazole, chromenepyridines, pyridine, and 2-pyrrolilidine moieties. Inspite of its importance, we lack the literature data in this field. Therefore, this book represents the synthesis of large number of their new derivatives and various pharmacological properties are extensively studied.
