An Appraisal of Human Rights of Women and Children

The concept of human right is not new one as these are moral claims which every one of us is entitled to have. Besides, these rights have universal acceptance and accessible to all men, women and children without any discrimination based on caste, color, sex and religion. Its basic object is to uphold human dignity, equality and foster liberty and fraternity.The preamble of the charter of United Nations proclaimed we the people of United Nations, determined to reaffirm faith in fundamental rights, in the dignity and worth of human person, in equal rights of men and women. In a civilized society, the women and children have a significant place and they are regarded as main component of the society.Knowledge of human rights, spread widely against the danger that these rights will be trampled on. Learning about one¿s own rights builds respect for the rights of others and points the way to more tolerant, peaceful societies.Well being and freedom in all aspects are important aspects of the individual¿s existence because he is a rational being. These aspects are essential to an individual to live his life in a dignified manner and also because they bring happiness and freedom.
