An Application to Sen's Multiobjective approach in Agriculture

This book is a research work on Employment, unemployment and under employment in agriculture. The main aim of this research is to optimize the income and employment of agricultural labourers using different crop enterprise through Linear Programming. The objective of this research work in the field of Social Sciences is to find out the efficacy of human resources and to study the nature, pattern and extent of employment of agricultural labourers, wage structure and employment potential in agriculture and suggest policies for increasing employment and income of agricultural laborers along with analyzing the causes therein. If there is a divergence in the performance from the expectation leading to formulating guidelines for improvement in the income and employment. With this view, a set of suggestions based on the present study have been formulated for the development of agriculture in Ballia District, Uttar Pradesh.
