An analysis of Uganda's Juvenile Justice System

This study is an analysis on Ugandäs Juvenile Justice system. The research has highlighted the institutional and legal framework of Ugandäs Juvenile Justice System, it has managed to establish levels of awareness of the juvenile justice legal framework, identify how Uganda handles children in conflict with the law, identify challenges faced in the implementation of juvenile justice in Uganda and suggest possible recommendations to improve the delivery of juvenile justice in Uganda. The ultimate objective of the research is to critically analysis the Juvenile Justice System of Uganda and its gaps in administering justice to children in conflict to the law. The research has addressed the problem that Despite the existence of the legal framework in Uganda, child offenders continue to miss out on their human rights when in conflict with the law. This has led to negative consequences in their lives, communities in which these children live and the country at large.
