Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis: An Introduction

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a neurodegenerative disease which involves damage of neurons in the brain and the spinal cord. Even though there are some methods by which the risk of the disease can be prolonged, treatment for the complete cure is not yet discovered. In other words, there is no drug available for the complete cure of ALS. This book aids to would interest the readers in knowing more about the disease and inculcate thoughts on students' mind to develop future interests on pathology studies. This book deals with an overall summary of the disease and it explains about the symptoms, pathogenesis, existing treatments and future challenges of the disease.
