Bhubaneswar a coastal urban city is situated along the eastern part of peninsular India in the state of Odisha. It is a rapidly developing city in terms of eduction, economy and infrastructure. The city is well populated along with growing number of vehicular traffic. Various large scale and some small scale industries have developed around the outskirts of this city. So air pollution is a great concern now a days through vehicular, industrial as well as agricultural sources. So preliminary information is required for planning a survey. Therefore, this book would provide a bottom knowledge about the present status of the ambient air quality of the city. A monitoring work along with a quantitative study of soil and air was under taken. This work could specifically be useful to the students and initial stage researchers in the field of earth, atmospheric and environmental sciences.
