Airlines: Theoretical and practical aspects of management

The monograph "Airlines: theoretical and practical aspects of management" presents the results of the study of airline operations during a number of prohibitive and restrictive measures on air travel, due to the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The object of study were: the route network of the classical and low-cost air carriers; the impact of low-cost airlines on the market structure (on the example of the European Union and the Russian Federation); the marketing policy of airlines in a macro-economic instability. A comparative analysis of airlines in the Russian Federation and the European Union allowed to identify the fundamental distinguishing factors of a developed and developing market. Based on the results of the study, general recommendations for the development of the passenger airline industry in overcoming the macroeconomic crisis were elaborated.
