Aircraft Leasing Negotiation; Impact to Sustainable Airlines

Airlines industry sustainability is a common concern of the operators and lessors due to the coronavirus pandemic. Most operators convert the commercial plane to cargo for sustaining their business. By endorsing the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and its 17 sustainable development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, the world community reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development. Through this Agenda, 193 member states pledged to ensure sustained and inclusive economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental protection, fostering peaceful, just, and inclusive societies through a new global partnership. So, leasing is directly connected with finance which leads to the balance of an airline¿s economic growth. The flying business has created more than 838 billion USD in income universally (2019, Statistica). The aeronautical business is significantly overwhelmed by two key airplane manufacturers, Boeing (American) with its 7-arrangement of planes and Airbus (European) with its A-progression of planes. According to Boeing, there is a demand for about 43,500 new airplanes through 2040 and the value will reach $7.2 trillion.
