Agroecology integrating elements to recreate agrobiodiversity

The loss of plant and animal species, both domestic and wild, has led to uncertainty about the future of the environment and, consequently, the food supply. The standardisation of food crops brings with it the loss of a diversity of species and varieties that is the heritage of humanity and has been built up by the careful observation and selection of many generations over time. In this context, the agroecological paradigm brings hope, possibility and the tools to chart paths that reshape habits and certainties from the perspective of food security and environmental sustainability. Protecting the knowledge of caring for the land and its fruits is the most valuable work we can do these days, because from it will come abundance in uncertain times.
