Agribusiness vs Economic Growth: Whither Nigeria?

Agribusiness has been used as a launching pad by many economies over the years. Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Germany, France and Portugal, scouted the world for agricultural resources such as palm oil, cocoa, coffee, spices, rubber amongst others to feed their production factories. Before the oil boom, the Nigeria economy started on the same note with other fast developing nations, such as the ¿Asian Tigers¿. This vision was deterred; presently the future seems to be bleak. Are we thinking outside the box as a Country? Are we utilizing agribusiness as a launch pad for economic revolution? These questions amongst many need urgent attention. This book however, does not claim to have all the answers but draws out a strategic movement that can be tapped from.
