Aftermath

Since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2011 and various other disasters such as Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, how people experience and process trauma has become a topic of interest in the mental health community. Men as a population are not often studied when it comes to trauma such as sexual assault and physical abuse. In Aftermath, Dr. Jason Arnold, clinician, researcher, and author of the "Sixty Percent Minority" explores the concept of psychological type, coping mechanisms, and how the types of trauma may have an influence on mental health pathology in male trauma victims. Relevant research is discussed, types of psychological assessments that are used in evaluation, as well as the research design used to explore many important questions that researchers and mental health practitioners may face in the not so distant future.
