Assessment is the most important step in the rehabilitation process. As our clinical reasoning is based on this information, it provides the basis for our decision making throughout the rehabilitation process. A thorough assessment is a cornerstone for an appropriate treatment. So in order to progress our treatment plan and ensure we are identifying patients problems the assessment should be an ongoing and continuous process. A neurological assessment focuses on the nervous system to identify any abnormalities that affects functions and activities of daily living. It should allow us to create individual, patient-centered goals and ultimately a tailor-made treatment plan based on the client's needs.
