Adoption of Improved Practices for Oily Spot Disease of Pomegranate

This book deals with study on adoption of improved practices for control measures of oily spot disease in pomegranate crop (Punica granitum) in Latur and Osmanabad district of Marathwada region of Maharashtra. Empirical studies on the personal, socio-economic characteristics of pomegranate growers, to ascertain the extent of adoption by pomegranate growers about improved practices for control measures of oily spot disease on pomegranate , to find out the relationship between personal characteristics of pomegranate growers with their extent of adoption of improved practices i.e. plant protection measures and study the constraints faced by pomegranate growers and their suggestions given by the pomegranate growers. Socio-economic and psychological characteristics of pomegranate growers influence their adoption behavior. Since extension education efforts aim at helping pomegranate growers to produce desirable changes in their attitude of his audience growers towards improved practices for control of oily spot disease in pomegranate crop.
