Adoption Of Cowpea Production Technologies Among Farmers

Agricultural production particularly cowpea in developing countries faces many hindrances and challenges such as poor agricultural practices, inefficiencies in information delivery and lack of information on best use of agricultural practices among farmers. This lead to low agricultural productivity. Agricultural production innovations have no values if they are not adopted by the target farmers. The poor agricultural development in the country is not necessarily a result of the lack of research in relevant areas. It is because results of such researches do not reach the farmers and policy makers at all, and sometime not when needed. This book addresses topical issues particularly in the area of adoption of cowpea production technologies it is conceived with a view to enhancing agricultural production especially in the development countries in general and Nigeria in particular it is hoped that policy makers, extension workers, farmers, researchers, scholars, as well as students and the general public will find the book useful.
