This thesis is a case study of the adequacy of retirement benefits in Kenya with specific reference to Emuhaya District. The author examines the benefits paid from various schemes in Kenya and concludes that the income replacement ratio could not enable retirees maintain pr-retirement standard of living. The author recommends policy framework that could reverse the trend.
