Acidification of Document Collections in Libraries, Museums, Archives

Acidity ¿ ¿cancer of paper¿ represented, according to the specialist conservators and restorers, a challenge in elaborating the fundamental and applied research in this field. For the protectionists (conservators, restorers) of the info-documentary collections in libraries (museums and archives), but also for the specialists who are studying techniques for the hygiene of cultural environments, natural nanoparticles represent untapped professional choices, which can have spectacular implications for the protection of info-cultural assets from Romanian libraries, museums and archives. The paper represents a practical application developed and applied in library environments in order to establish the technology for the use of natural nanoparticles to protect the info-cultural goods and to maintain the hygiene in the library environments.
