Achieving Sustainable Transportation at Eastern Mediterranean University Campus

The issue of transportation is a main challenge around the world which play crucial role in sustainable development by its substantial impacts on economic, environmental and the community. Hence, sustainable transportation idea emerged in the transportation sector. This book, which has been completed as a Master thesis in the Urban Design Program of the Department of Architecture; Faculty of Architecture at the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), reviews the sustainability within university campuses by concentrating on sustainability in transportation sector. In this regard, all dimensions of transportation sector at the EMU campus in Famagusta, North Cyprus as a case study is analyzed toward achieving the main aim of this research which is to set up a guideline to have a sustainable transportation system and a pedestrian friendly environment at EMU campus.
