About Teaching English as a Foreign Language in Argentina

Since becoming a teacher trainer, it has been complicated to find material about particular issues as regards teaching a foreign language in our area, a Mediterranean province, far from English speaking countries. What is more, most of the literature about methodology has been written abroad without making any reference to our factual backgrounds.This book pretends to be a resource for those in the process of becoming educators to have a widely held view of specific aspects, the organization of the curricula and general ideas about E.F.L. in Argentina. With the instructor¿s guidance and with the support of prestigious authors, suggested in the bibliography, the teachers-to-be are expected to delve into the study of methodologies in different courses of the Teacher Training College. The topics are aligned with what the curriculum requires and the activities are thought to trigger debate and further study. Thus, all the content of this book is connected to subjects such as Problemáticas de la adquisición de una segunda lengua, Didáctica del inglés and Práctica docente.The theory provided here is not only based on eminent scholars¿ works but also on my own practice and research.
