A Text Book of Statistical Quality Control

In the 1980¿s, the issue of Quality Control (QC) became a national concern in the United States. Quality is a challenge that must be taken up by Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer needs a thorough knowledge of the Statistical Methods to control the quality. The object of this book is to enrich the knowledge of Quality Engineer in Statistical Methods of Quality Control. In this Text Book basic statistical methods are addressed it include those associated with statistical process control and capability analysis. The book gives some background of process control, explains several important concepts such as special and common causes of variation, and introduces the control chart, a very effective tool for process control. The book also describes the construction and use of control charts for variables data (quantitative data, or measurements) - X-bar & R charts, X & MR charts, median charts.
