A STUDY OF CASHEW PROCESSING INDUSTRY

The study¿s also examined the Socio- Economic conditions of workers in the district. Further, the study focused on problems of production/processing, marketing and also examined various problems faced by workers. It is observed that no systematic study has been undertaken so for determine cost and return, marketing efficiency of cashew nuts, improve the workers conditions and promote to processing industry. Hence the present study carried out with a view to fill this lacuna of Cashew processing industry in the Srikakulam district in particular and Andhra Pradesh in general, Further, in Srikakulam district no study has been undertaken so far by any organization, individual research, or institutes or universities about Cashew Processing units.
