Design and development of a rotary base of a CNC milling machine A rotary base of a CNC machine is attached to a rotary table, which is a precision work positioning device used in metal working.It is a computer aided machine with coded software and aid in designing and developing any desired works. The axis of the CNC machine are attached to the machine flame allowing motion by use of X, Y coordination programme via G-code from the central panel. The rotating base is typically made with a solid base that can clamp on another fixture.It enables the operator to drill or cut at exact interval around a fixed axis. It is an efficient and positive method of holding a work piece to a milling machine table Its rigidity secures and prevents it from springing or moving away from the cutter. The purpose for the innovation of this machine was to make the work easier for operators such as students to use in a classroom environment as it is lighter and portable. It also gives students chance to have a hands on experience because of its nature, students would graduate with confidence in engineering works and in this way producing more man power in this world of engineering.
