Nanotechnology increases the production of crops, livestock products, chicken and eggs, fish and preserves foodstuffs safe without damaging the environment. Nanosensors detect pests and diseases much ahead of the development of symptoms in plants, animals, and food-stuffs. It increases the efficiency of water, nutrients, pesticides, pheromones and restores the ecosystem fresh and free of pollution. Sensors sense the level of soil nutrients, herbicides, insecticides, pathogens, soil moisture, and pH, remove the pathogens and undesirable ingredients in the foods and beverages quickly. But, the likely ill-effects of small particles in the Nano formulations on human health need to be explored.Anytime fodder (ATF) in the fresh and green form to feed the livestock instead of dry crop residues or preserved forms as hay or silage is possible by intercropping perennial carbohydrate-rich crops like hybrid Napier and legume like Lucerne for a balanced and nutritious diet.
