A Multimedia Programme in English to Remedy Errors in Writing

According to Von Humboldt (Corder, 1967), ¿We cannot really teach language, we can only create conditions in which it will develop spontaneously in the mind in its own way¿. English has attained the place of the global language in the past few decades. Majority of learners in India, especially in Gujarat state, learn English as their second or third language. Such learners who have studied in a vernacular medium school make different types of errors while using English language. This book throws light on such errors, their sources, their classification and more importantly their significance with suitable examples. This book explores the possibilities of creating need-based, multimedia materials that are user friendly and cost effective. This book is an attempt to know how culture friendly multimedia materials can be used in order to remedy select grammatical errors of the specific group of learners. 21st century is the era of technology. This book is a humble effort to explore how technology can make teaching-learning process effective and enjoyable on the learners¿ part and help them increase their confidence in their ability to use correct and error free English.
