Physical Pharmacy is the process of applying physics & chemistry to the study of pharmaceutics & applying them to pharmaceutical dosage form development. The physical pharmaceutics lab mainly covers with experiments that deals with the principle discussed in scientific approach. These experiments provide fundamental principles of physical pharmacy required to design physically & chemically stable dosage forms & ensure their therapeutic safety & efficacy. Physical pharmacy laboratory consist of 11 experiments conducted during the year & broadly the physical & chemical properties included are :particle size & shape, powder flow properties, viscosity, sedimentation rate, first & second order reaction rate constant , accelerated stability study.
