A Handbook of Active Noise Control

Active Noise Control (ANC) is an emerging research area. It has reached a stage in its development at which systems are commercially available for critical noise problems. The most successful ANC system is active noise cancelling headphone, which is an essential component of a pilot¿s toolbox. Active noise control HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air conditioning) system is another example. Some of the other applications being investigated are active noise control of automobiles, aircrafts, industrial components such as air blowers, turbine exhausts, transformers etc. The book explains the principle of active noise control and describes some of the adaptive control based ANC systems appeared in literature together with their simulations.
