A HAND BOOK OF WASTE MINIMIZATION FOR CONSTRUCTION SITES

This study is a part of the outputs of the author¿s fellowship research project. The title of the research is ¿EXPLORING STRATEGIES FOR EFFECTIVE WASTE MINIMIZATION IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY ¿ A CASE STUDY¿. The objective of this training manual is to educate and inform civil engineers on the severity of problems caused by construction waste on the environment, and to serve as a reference manual providing detailed information on the management of construction waste in an environmentally sustainable manner. This manual is a part of the Training Pack for waste prevention on construction projects. This study emphasises the need to prioritise waste management on construction sites. It provides specific, best-practice advice to help with the prevention, reduction, and effective utilization of waste materials, on construction sites. This study provides a comprehensive summary of the techniques that can currently be applied to improve the management and minimisation of waste on construction sites.
