A Extensive study of Kupilu (Strychnos nux vomica)

The Book entitled ¿An extensive study of Kup¿lu (Strychnus nux vomica is composed of five sections viz Conceptual study, Analytical study, Discussion and the present section of Summary and Conclusion. In a first subdivision, the Drug profile has been presented. In its historical review progressive knowledge regarding Kup¿lu has been treated with its synonyms, vernacular names, latin name, family, gan¿a, part used, rasa päcaka actions, pharmacological uses, preparations, chemical composition and toxicity & its treatment, it cultivation & collection. Under Pharmacognostical division Macroscopic & Microscopic evaluation of Kup¿lu seed is enumerated. Microscopic study of Kup¿lu is done by the help of Microtomy. Under Phyto-chemical assessment thin layer chromatography, High performance thin layer chromatography of the Kup¿lu seeds both pure & impure has been carried out. In Pharmaceutical study the Kup¿lu was screened for its gross behaviour during every steps of ¿odhana process.
