9 simple steps to implement project management

Nineteen years of unsuccessful attempts of the Government of Kazakhstan to introduce project management in the public sector became the reason for writing this manual.The author analyzed the functioning of the national system of project management in the country to identify the problems hindering the promotion of the project approach. Among the main challenges, the lack of flexibility of the state apparatus, non-adoption of new methods and approaches are noted. The state bodies of Kazakhstan were not mature enough to implement such a multifunctional approach as project management.The author, taking into account the identified shortcomings, gave specific recommendations on the introduction and development of project management.
