2011 T¿hoku Earthquake and Tsunami

The most powerful earthquake in Japan's recorded history hit the country on March 3, 2011. Measuring 9.0 on the Richter scale the quake occurred off the North-Eastern coast of Honshu in the depth of 24 kilometers.
