Our study seeks to examine the impact of Zakat management structure (Zakat investment, Zakat collected from enterprises, and number of Zakat beneficiaries) on economic development (social assistance, official development assistance).A sample of 8 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region was examined during the period 2011_2014 to achieve our objective.The study found that there is a significant positive relationship between social assistance, Zakat collected from businesses, the number of beneficiaries and Gross Domestic Product. On the other hand, it was found that investment and Official Development Assistance have no effect on Gross Domestic Product.
