Web-accessible Liquid Distillation Column Control Using Ilab

The web-accessible liquid distillation column control system using iLab Shared Architecture has been developed at UDSM. A research tool, the liquid distillation column was originally operated manually means the user must record and monitor temperature manually which gives heavy load to the user. Furthermore, since experiments undertaken are dangerous to human health as they involve chemicals heated at very high temperature so there was a need of remotely accessibility of the system to avoid direct contact with the distillation column. The possible solutions for existed problems was implementation of web-accessible and remotely controlled distillation column using Ilab Shared Architecture.
