This monograph presents a Novel Wavelet Based Finite Element(WFE) approach for solving transient problems arising in structural dynamics.This approach alleviates certain difficulties of conventional finite element methodology (FEM) for solving time dependent problems and proves to be a potential alternative to FEM in analyzing time dependent problems. This approach features the ability of utilizing the capabilities of conventional FEM and Wavelets in providing a reliable solution.
